Taylor has now completed 50 sessions of PrTMS and continues to show overall improved behaviors at home and at school. Her teacher reported to Emily last week, “I’ve never seen Taylor so happy. It’s a night and day difference between now and a couple of months ago.”

So awesome to hear.

I asked Taylor on the way home from a treatment session if she thought PrTMS has been beneficial for her and in what ways. Without any additional prompts from me, she responded that she felt it has helped her sleep better, have fewer headaches, and not have to run away as much from home or from school.

Later that evening, she then told me, “Daddy? One other thing that [Pr]TMS is helping with is that I can express my feelings more.”

She is definitely becoming better at labeling her feelings and is able to communicate if she is feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or frustrated. Instead of 0-to-100 real quick, she doesn’t escalate as quickly as she used to, and is able to recover faster.

Below is the latest chart showing elopements and suicidal ideation episodes over the past couple of weeks at home. Each suicidal ideation “tally” is an episode, not just a single comment or attempt. These episodes can last anywhere from 10 minutes up to a couple of hours, but lately, most have been on the shorter end.

Sundays continue to be a big struggle for Taylor, and today was no exception. But overall we are feeling very hopeful and happy with the progress she is making. We continue to feel grateful and humbled by all the love and support our family receives.
